Great piece on the Concorde- and it's demise

Worked for an Air Travel Club in DTW that did a couple pond hop packages on the Concord. Fly over to Britain and return on the QE2 or float over then fly back.

Met one of BA's pilots while working there, Chris Orelbar, and got an autographed copy of his book on the plane and a free model.

There's an inch or so gap between the FE's panel and the cockpit wall that virtually disappears at Mach speed due to heat expansion.

Definitely a work of art and engineering.
