Hmm...Opposable thumbs and a pulse? = Check. Food and shelter? = Check.  "Just" being alive is nothing short of a miracle we should never fail to appreciate. Having the day to share with loved ones, consume mass quantities of tryptophan-laden turkey, glorious other fine food, and be afterwards able to sleep soundly in safe surroundings knocks it completely outta' the park. Whatever our differences: Happy Thanksgiving to ALL!

This is the first time in my aviation career that I had to work a holiday, and I am actually happy to be with all others that had to work today... After 36 years of running around airfields you don't realize how many people it takes to run an airport, the airlines and other support functions during the holidays..
 
In six hours I will have my beautiful 5 year old Grand Daughter sitting next to me and that will make the day complete... Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.......
