Does anyone know why PHX is sending agents to Hawaii again? Is Aloha ground in danger of shutting down?

When leaving KOA recently had a chat w/ US agent who seemed to feel that they were not needed or wanted by the current ground staff (although they seemed to be nice to the US people).
When checking in the staff seemed to be unsure about the new computer system that they were using, however everything seemed to work out just fine.
The agents looked a bit stressed.

The ground service division will be auctioned off on the 25th. So far Pacific Air Cargo is the high bidder.

Cargo services is also being auctioned off. Young Brothers who was bidding, walked out of the hearing after Aloha's biggest credit said the unit was worth $20 mil.

Good jobs are hard to find in Hawaii so I really feel for the Aloha family. It is such a shame that so much history is gone.

Btw kingglobjob was quoted in the HNL paper farewell section.

The cargo div pilots are threatening strike on mid 4/25......GMAC has funded both Cargo/Contract so if the pilots walk, then they both possibly lose and no

one to work our flts......
