Paramedics wheel man in his 40s out of restaurant's Las Vegas branch

He was eating a 6,000-calorie burger when he suffered a heart attack

On a more serious note everyone should look up how much obesity costs this country per year in added health care costs. We are the fatest country in the world afterall.

What I want to know is, what was the cause of those rashes on the bacon? It said there were 12 rashes. Now is that 12 different rashes or just 12 occurrences of the same rash? In any case...ew.

Everyone should live in Liberty. Which includes the God given right to consume a 6,000 Calorie Burger, have a heart attack and die on the floor of the restaurant.

If some moron wants to eat a 6000 calorie gut bomb and die becasue of it there's nothing really to stop him. However, we as Americans might want to stop complaining about the cost of health care since it's our own bad habits that are contributing to the cost.

That's why I shake my head when people like Sara Palin attack the first lady over her childhood obesity campaign.

I'm not on Palin's side either. I happen to think one of the most important duties of the POTUS and by extension the First Lady is that of the bully pulpit to encourage folks to do things to help themselves. Ms Obama is IMO well within the narrow confines of the COTUS with her anti obesity campaign. In fact I'll go so far as to say I wish we had more of this type of activity coming from the White House. Not everything needs a law on cost money. Sometimes we don't need a law, sometimes we just need a respected figure to say "Ya know that's not a good idea."

Nothing wrong with Mrs Obama saying, "You want to look as good as I do at age 50? OK then put the Cheeseburger down"

True. What's really disturbing is that if things continue as they are todays kids might be the first generation not to live longer than thier parents.

Study fine art from Michelangelo and a few others.

Sexy women were portrayed as fat, not some anemic runway walker.....

That really does not change the fact that this country has a problem that costs it billions every year.

I thought they had universal HC back in the day......didn't they bore holes in skulls to let out the demons?

Maybe Obamacare should look into this, bet it would cure a fat smack.

Yes, and the life expectancy of the average person at that time was less than 45 years. Coincidence? I think not.

Next time you go to the grocery store look at the cost of fresh fruit and vegetables. Then look at the cost of oatmeal and cream of wheat compared to fruit loops. Look at the cost of a bugger ant BK or McD's. Look how many grocery stores are in poorer neighborhoods verses wealthier ones.

Bottom line is it costs quite a bit more in terms of money and time to eat healthy. Most people are lazy and do not want to put forth the effort to cook a meal. Quite a few cannot afford to buy the groceries. Quite a few studies have shown that the poor are much more likely to be less healthy than the 'not poor' and large part of it is diet as well as lack of exercise.

In a way it all boils down to what a person values most.

If you value 22" rims and a pimped out ride, you allocate your income there and eat Ramen Noodles and chips.

If you value healthy eating and the lifestyle that goes with it you drive a beat up Toyota.

This is what a free society is, the right to make choices either good or bad.
