Congrats to all Horizon's mechanics that decided to have a representational vote to bring AMFA in.
Word of caution; Don't fall for all the lies, misinformation, and rhetorics that will invade you from your current representation. The number one story that will be brought back out is the NWA fiasco way back when. Reach out with any questions, there are some mechanics out here from NWA that experienced it personally and they as well as others that were there can help clear up any info you guys so desire about AMFA and how they work and run as a class and craft union for mechanics. Great choice gentlemen. Read below just a few highlights of being represented by AMFA. And just so you guys know, we had an Alaska mechanic as our lead negotiator at SWA thet help us get through to a new ILC. Reach out if you have any questions...
*** All AMFA National and Local Officers are elected and can be removed by the members thru recall.***
We have done it twice now in the middle of the election cycles. Much better option than what you are use to.
