I've begun to think I could do a better job simply because I understand customers. If I'm the CEO & Chairman of the Board then DP is GONE!
By definition. What is the word for "obvious" in your language?

My message to employees would be simple. Happy Employees make Happy Customers and if the customers and employees are happy then so are the Shareholders.

Are you familiar with 2 companies, Costco and Home Depot, whose shareholders would beg to differ with you. You can add Starbucks to that as well. All three are underperforming while gladhanding the bennies.

Obviously it has not been satisfactory at US for some folks for quite some time, many since way before the merger. Some things never change I guess...sigh.... :unsure: !

Negative energy all the time is not good for the health.

Lets work on the positive changes we can do to help get the airline back to it's pre-DL merger idea fighting weight.

D.P and co. seem to be attempting to do just that as the communications bear out. They are acknowledging mistakes and attempting to explain what they are doing about it.
Noone, including myself are happy with the operation of the airline in the past few weeks.
However, I said it once and I will say it again....what CEO do you think is out there in airline land that would be better....besides Bethune, who has no interest in it????? :unsure: Name one person that would satisfy all the griping on here???

Don't forget Sherri Shamblin. Seriously, where is she and has she done her homework yet? Not very bright.

Uh HELLO, Sherri is VERY busy working with horses in Kentucky. She has no time to deal with the BS going on at US Airways! I think the folks in Kentucky will be thanking her BIG TIME when the new LEX PHX and LEX LAS flights begin!

You miss the point completely. It isn't about who has interest in the job. It's about the performance of who is in the positions of power now. Which is pathetic at best and downright criminal at worst. The employees of LCC, including YOU, deserve much better.

Your comments are a red herring. You seem to think only an established airline CEO could do better. Ever think there might be a young, energetic person at LUV who would jump at the chance to run this company the way his is run? My guess is that there are plenty of people who understand this business, and the importance of BOTH customers and employees, who would accept the challenge and excel.

But to find someone like that the BOD needs to be proactive. And I don't see that happening. So the employees of LCC, the people who truly OWN the airline, need to put the pressure on the BOD to find the person or persons who can run the airline.

Because Parker, Kirby and their band of partying idiots have proven they cannot. And employees like you who excuse their performance because of their make nice letters need to wake up before they run LCC into the ground.

Assuming you are a stockholder, write investor relations requesting a form for presenting a shareholder proposal. Or find an old annual report (from any company) and peruse the shareholder proposals in their 10k forms.

Any shareholder can propose the dismissal of any BOD member or any upper management member. Cite the reasoning behind the proposal and be specific.

While it is unlikely to meet with success, it is a real slap in the face to have that out there in the annual report and at the shareholders annual meeting. But then, if a DUI by the CEO of LCC isn't going to bring the ire of the BOD or shareholders to take out DP, I doubt anything else will short of embezzeling. Then again, the stock option and golden parachute crap is a legal form of embezzelment.

Have a lawyer friend help you with the papaerwork. This would sure raise some eyebrows.

If you buy just a few shares of stock, you can submit an agenda item to the BOD reqesting removal of certain Execs citing the reasoning. The stock has decreased by upwards of 25% since its high. Shareholders have more "clout" with the BOD then do customers.

Please add Joe Berry CIO to the list. He immediately authorized SHARES over Sabre to save $100 million annually. Too bad that Sabre cost $250 million!

"Not very bright" is an understatement. Have you ever heard her try to speak publicly? She had to host a Crew News Session a while back in CLT for about 20 minutes because Kirby et al were running late. I was actually embarrassed for her...... FA'S were asking legitimate questions, and she is talking about how exciting it is to get the $50 payout for being on time, and kept saying "YAY!" No wonder she is so quiet these days; she is not exactly well spoken. She has not written any form of email correspondence to her East FA's since 2006 (not sure about West). Absolutely unbelievable.

Sherri got shut down at the crew news meeting on march 22 in CLT. She had no answers, and said that the displacemnts were not her department. Well who's would they be, since she is in-flght?

This does not come as a shock. The west has dealt with her inability to communicate effectively for years. Inflight IS her responsibility. This is typical Sherri, always trying to pass the buck. She's getting a VP salary but doesn't know anything about the displacements? You've got to be kidding me! That says to me she knows nothing about her department. Those displacements have a direct impact on how this airline is being staffed. Wonder how long the sandcastle will allow for this lackluster performance to continue before she is sent on her way? I can't be the only one who thinks her days are numbered.

On the bright side for her, when it does happen she'll have more time to spend with her horses. 🙄
