Ohh boy… you can tell it’s getting’ close to negotiations… Look at all the newbie’s tossin’ out chum!

Can't you guys be a little more creative?

Nascar.....thats only half of it! Directives, directives, directives...... 14 day rules and missed grievances are the talk of the town!!!! Chum is chum....truth is truth!!!

funny everything negative about whats happening gets a neg rating, and people who make comments about new people get positive ratings, bottom line we need to be solid and i mean solidarity entering negotiations, if we divide ourselves management will as well. remember entering negotiations this year is about union vs management, not union vs union members. I make no bones about it, our local management in PHX intimidates our workforce, and it needs to stop.

I agree with PHXramper. We need solidarity in our group for negotiations. To see a strong city like PHL having problems worries me though.

has anyone heard when we will start doing our contract surveys through the DL141 website like UA did. I heard back around the holidays the district was shooting for mid Feb well here we are
into Mar and haven't heard anything.

isn't that the pot calling the kettle black. You seem to blast the union leadership in phx every chance you get. I do agree that we need to come together and stay unified against management. Lets give our
negotiating something to fight with , if the company knows that system wide phl/clt/phx and some of the other larger citys are all standing together they might actually take us seriously.
I remember back when we were only union in 4 cities the company didn't mess around with negotiations because they knew those 4 cities would really mess things up if they did.

Couldn't agree with you more! This is why we need strong union leadership in our hubs and larger cities. When I heard PHL is having problems, it concerned me quite a bit.

well it's sounds like management intimidates PHL ......now that sounds like union leadership change hands??????? that never ever happen in PHL before they always rule that station......just in time for contact talks. it smells...... Les't see if i got this right PHX PHL CLT carrie the most votes?????????
no leadership in PHL PHX and CLT OK that sounds like a good contract coming our way.................. stand together thats a JOKE How can you when your leadership let's management run your station. WELL let's get rid of that leadership in thoes cites first before it's to LATE.
all talk no action will land you a 14.00 hr job at Usairways after they intimidate our leadership at the tables.

Are you kidding me here? Just PHL/CLT/PHX. What about all stations. Not just the "larger" stations. That is the kind of mentality that divided the stations last time remember. As long as the class 1 ststions got theirs, screw everybody else right. When are you people gonna learn, we are a union, what affects 1 station affects all stations. The negotiating committee should be looking to improve things for everybody, not just the "larger" stations. Imagine if we all stood together, how seriously do you think the company would take Fleet Service then?

Lets see, I guess you would prefer the leadership that we used to have, the leadership that got us our current contract, the contract that screws us everyday, the contract that lets management do what they want. The contract that lets the company contract out as many jobs as they want. Yeah your saying that you would prefer that leadership, right ???? HaHa What a joke !!!!!!!

what i am saying is that if the leaderships we have on the grounds right now is letting management do what ever they want. well what would happen in talks??
thats a JOKE.

find out who is the leader in PHL and ask him what problems they are having in PHL. He might say everything OK their.
BUT if not and they are haveing problems i sure as HELL don't want him at our talks................

Mr. Brown,

I told you several months ago that little will change with the New Direction Team, because as others have rightly posted, I am not seeing the changes in the trenches out on the ramp, so why might I expect to see something different at the bargaining table?

We have had this Attendance Policy in place now for over two years, and while I know the process takes time, I honestly could not tell you based upon this issue or other matters if there was the New Direction Team or the old Boss Canale team still running the show! I only know it is the New Direction Team because I see lanyards hanging around rampers' necks with the party name printed on the strap.

Something concrete from the New Direction Team would be a good starting point. For example... their proposal to clean-up the language in the CBA in order to remove the many gray areas. I know everyone is interested in pay, benefits, scope, etc., but something as non-threatening and non-provocative from the Management point of view would be a good start without violating private discussons by negotiating within the public arena.

So Advocates Jester.
