It is the position of the Machinists Union that employee groups should be merged based on the individual’s date of entry into a particular classification at their respective carriers. In our opinion, this recognizes the seniority of employees at both airlines and is the only fair way for everyone involved. This is how seniority integration was handled at PSA Airlines and Piedmont Airlines.


As this process moves forward, you can be assured that the Machinists Union will always protect the best interests of the membership.

Both of you can go to Hell for spouting out ball faced lies. US and PI got the short ends of the stick, and PS made out like bandits concerning seniority. Seniority should have been governed by the Allegheny-Mohawk procedures but it wasn't. It should have been DOH, but it wasn't. That is why we have the seniority mess on the ramp that we have today. We have four different seniority systems on the ramp as of today. Now that we've merged with HP, who knows how many different seniority systems they will be bringing to the game. It needs to be straightened out once and for all. Each ramp agent knows when they were hired, who was hired before them, and who was hired after them. DOH must prevail or there is going to be animosity and hatred on the ramp for years to come. Don't let iam141 screw us again. I wonder how the above union buffoons would like it if someone hired after them, got to bid everything before they got to bid? :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry:

RR is a ramper not an AMT. I don't think the IBT is interested in fleet service, or are they?

The IBT has agreed to go DOH with the mechanics. I am not a mechanic, I'm a ramp agent. The iam is still neglecting to do right for the ramp agents. That is why there is going to be a lot of confusion if we don't get DOH for all purposes. That is not a threat, it is just the feelings of the ramp agents that have been treated like step chidren for so many years. All we want it is what we know is fair, not what those iam bastards think is fair. If we don't get DOH, and there is another merger somewhere down the line, we are really going tobe screwed. Just ask TWA. New USAirways, DOH. Everyone starts from scratch with the day they were originally hired. Remember you read it here first.
