IAM Gets Pushback Work
At 11:15 p.m. August 19, 2005 General Chair Kevin Graf received an email message from NW Labor Counsel David Driscoll:
This will confirm our discussion that effective 11:01 p.m. CDT, the Company has imposed new terms and conditions of employment for AMFA represented employees. These terms were previously communicated to AMFA on August 18, 2005, and AMFA was specifically advised of the Company's intent to delete from Article 2.C. air starts, taxi, tow, pushback tractor operations and communication with the cockpit work from AMFA's scope of work. It was communicated to AMFA that the Company would, under these imposed terms and conditions, have that work performed by IAM-represented employees.
This means that ESEs will now be performing this work.
