I will ask you the same question: Would you have been ok with the USA leaving troops (your son) in Iraq without a status of forces agreement? Because that is what we would have had to do unless we were going to just being an occupying force and dismiss the elected government .

Under the current regime AND the one previous if I had a son who was 18 and wanted to join the military you'd find him chained to his bed post, well fed but tethered so as not to become cannon fodder for the Banksters.
 
Last war I'd give a son permission to join the military was WWII and then I'd have driven him to the recruiter's office.

I would have preferred that the SoFA signed in 2008 had been modified, and the Obama Administration didn't seem to find that to be one of their priorities. My son isn't Army - he's a Marine. If he winds up deployed to Iraq, it's because the fan hath been hit hard enough to send them in.

I guess IM mising the point you are making.  The 3 countries listed hate us far more than the rest.  Iran was on Bush's axis of evil list.

Make sure CPS does not foind out.  They frown on stuff like that.  Personally I would go the E.A. Poe route.  Build a wall and just feed him throug a slot in the wall.  No marks from the chains and when he is too old to serve you can let him out.  Just saying.

Iran has or might have a nuke so they are safe so far. Afghanistan, in search of Bin Laden is the only military action that comes close to a "Just War"

OH, I see.  I guess tha's possible but I dont think Iraq/libya are the same as Iran.  Both of the other countries had a great deal of civil strife and were being torn aprt from with in.  Iran not so much.  Also, Iran is has a very strong military, lots of mountain ranges and from what I have read would not be an easy nut to crack.
 
I do agree with your point in that if I were Iran, and they are looking around and sniffing the wind, I'd be very very nervous.
