I think it's a 75 because of the lack of Airbii type triangle winglets and the engines look very 757-ish. The engine noise is not that of an airbus.

Either the above or I've really been on few 757's. By the way boarding via 1L also occurs on 757's so the 1L/2L argument is a silly one.

I hope for Boeingboy to help out or whoever can comment.

Looks like an A321 from what I can see. Check the cowlings. Definitely not an RB211.

Check the main landing gear. Dual not tandem wheels. A321!

Also, after parking the cockpit overhead lights are illuminated and the cockpit is not Boeing Beige but Airbus colors.

Just my opininion from a fuzzy video though.

It's a 321. Not only does the engine look like a CFM56, but the main gear has only one pair of wheels each, not the double truck that the 757 has.

Not a 57....
as you do not board from the 1L door on a 75

but you do on the a/b

Actually, that is incorrect.

757's(at least US East ones- only ones I've been on) also board/deplane via 1L. I've seen it done in person a few times! Especially in LAS

your right kinglobjaw. but on rare occasions does this practice happen. most of the time we board and deplane using the 2L door. i know that there is a gate in phl at the a-east concourse that the 1L door is used for boarding and deplaning.

Notice how they open the cargo doors. When you're opening the cargo doors on a 757, you have to climb on top of a beltloader to lift the door handle and pull the switch. On an airbus, the switch is underneath the fuselage and you can open the door handle while you're standing on the ground. The video is definitely an A321. Also the ground power and headset communications on an airbus is in front of the nose gear, on a 757, the ground power is next to the main gear.

Who cares what type of aircraft it is…
What amazes me is the parking crew is waiting, folks are actually moving as if they have some concern, and the Jetway driver is ready and gets it to the aircraft immediately! I want to work for this company.

Lots of very good ways to tell that it's an A321. Heck, I even learned a few things. To me the first indication is when that nose comes into view - anything with a profile so reminiscent of a Convair 240/340/440/580 has to be a narrow-body Airbus and no way can be a 757.

It's an Airbus... look where the ground power hookup is at( fwd and under the nose of a/c)
also fwd cx door opened too fast and no belt for ramper to stand on to open.
3rd and last look at the size of the towbar same as the ones for small boeings and ab's

In well over 100 flights I've taken on US, AA and UA 757's, I can count on one hand the number of times we boarded at 1L. It's rare.

Some airlines do board at 2L on the A321, but from what I "heard" on this board and others, US did not opt to allow this because the wing is too close to the door, increasing risk of the jetway bumping it.
