Is US Airways is adopting RyanAir business model?

You know... I've been wondering why Labor is behind the health reform, including the (I can't believe I'm going to say it) robust public option (let's not mention it again) and portability. I was surprised that organized labor seems willing to take itself out of the day to day, union by union, company by company fight for out of control benefits for workers. It seems to actually be forward thinking in this way: working people benefit from being healthy, educated and mobile. But that makes them more independent of unions. Anyway. I'm not smart enough to figure out this interplay... they're probably swapping Health care support for ENDA or some such.

Anyway, I think we need to be healthy, educated and mobile if we're going to be a society that increases it's standard of living. And by mobile, I mean socially mobile. No more sorting out health services by class, race... and sort out less by wealth. We need everybody healthy and ready to go.

Back on subject, people.. this is not about health care.
