I call on all of the analysts out there to now focus on AA''s problems. Lets not forget that they are in almost as bad a position as UA. However, they have more cash and a slightly lower cost structure.
Funny how Bob Owens is no where to be found now. UA has been the big punching bag. Now it''s AA''s turn.

AMERICAN AIRLINES STATEMENT ON UAL BANKRUPTCY
American Airlines today issued the following statement in response to the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing by United Airlines:
United''s bankruptcy filing further underscores the unprecedented financial challenges facing the airline industry.
As for American''s own financial situation, we are doing everything possible to avoid the extreme measures United has taken by cutting our permanent structural costs by $3 billion to $4 billion - some $2 billion of which we have already identified. We and our employee groups are working hard to ensure that American survives this time of financial crisis.
