To All Employees ... Please Post ... Special Bulletin

Dear US Airways Colleagues:

On Wednesday, March 24, US Airways will present a
Webcast to update employees on the issues faced by the
company.

The Webcast should last approximately 60 minutes and
will be available for viewing for at least two weeks
beginning at 3 p.m. (EST) on March 24, at the
following Internet address:
http://usairways.internetstreaming.com.
A link to the site also will be available that day on
theHub home page. In addition, we will be sending
video tapes to work locations so that employees
without Internet access can view them in VCR-equipped
breakrooms or take them home. The Webcast will be
filmed before a live audience of about 75 employees
from across all workgroups and various locations who
will participate in the session and be able to ask
questions.

While we believe that those employees at the
presentation will ask representative questions, you
can also e-mail your questions in advance for
consideration. Send your questions to:
[email protected] and put "Webcast Question" in
the subject line.

We are using the Internet to deliver this message to
you for several reasons. Most importantly, this will
allow us to share information with every employee
quickly. It is also far less expensive than holding
road show meetings where only some employees can
attend, and it can be accessed by employees who are
traveling or whose schedules might conflict with road
show dates.

I urge you and your families to view this presentation
because US Airways is at a significant crossroad. All
of us will be faced with making choices that will
affect the future of the company, and my hope is that
this information will help you make informed
decisions.

Sincerely,

Dave Siegel

And the jist will be . . . . . "We [except management] all need to get on board NOW with an additional 30% across the board compensation cut. I know this is tough but it's the only way we can save the company and prosper in the future."

Maybe I should have kept my Video after all from Wolf and Gangwhal to compare notes after Wed at 1500.

Hey...

I'm still using my tape to record the Young and the Restless on a daily basis. ;)

Funny thing is, most employees do NOT have intra- nor internet access at work. And those who do are mostly in CCY and their PCs do NOT have sound cards! So they can watch the presentation, but not hear it!

Doesn't anybody think ANY of this through? Don't they think that most employees want to watch and be able to hear this presentation as it's being made? Not to wait to get home to view it or wait for the tape to appear at their stations?!

Any thoughts on whether there will be any major revelations or if it will be the same rhetoric from the past 3 months?

maybe the road to recovery (webcast) should start something like this (just a thought)

good morning

to emphasize the signaficance of our struggle as well as to indicate that I (dave) would not ask anything of the employees that i, myself would not consider, will continue to work for this company for the salary of 1.00 until such time the company is in the black and my compenstation at that time would be reinstated.

now lets start the webcast.

(taken from lee iaccoa in the early 80s) LEAD by example. be direct, be honest.

hows about:
goodafternoon.we at this time do not have the leverage we had over you during bankruptcy.
please get the rest of the family now as i want them to hear this.
i am in no way trying to scare you..but if we do not get what we want,we are prepared to sell off major chunks and/or liquidate....please call your local union representative.have a nice day.

I just heard a "talking head" on CNBC use the term, "going forward[ insert favorite subject] " in relation to the national economy and the economic plan. I have heard this phrase used quite often over the past months on CNBC and the likes. My point is, it sounds alot like the "going forward plan." Is the "going forward" plan simply a bunch of MBA hooooie? Is "going forward" the latest business world "buzz word"? I guess we shall see tomorrow.
