Well on the surface our imperialist/interventionist policies appear to have achieved their objective in toppling Gadhafi. We should be ashamed of ourselves for bombing a sovereign nation that posed no threat to us, was not at war with us. The internal affairs of a sovereign nation are the business of that nation. NOT ours.
So now the open question is what will the blow back be? The 1953 installation of the Shah was the beginning of the Iran of today. Chile with the CIA engineered assassination of Allende gave us year and year of brutal rule under Pinochet. Batista gave us Castro and on it goes.
We never learn.
