Go HERE to read the wonderful AMFA language on outsourcing. See for yourself how AMFA is now selling it's members down the road to another profession.

I realize you amfaites will blame Jim Little for this, but I don't believe his signature is on the paper...doh!

Hey Nightroach  , there's a big difference between an AMFA LOA and a TWU LOA. AMFA members vote whether to accept or not accept the LOA  . If the UAL AMFA members don't like it they will vote it down. On the other hand we here at AA get these secret LOA's that are forced upon us with no membership vote at all!

I believe the TWU has had several agreements like this, this is where work is exchanged. Of course without membership approval. I believe one such situation was with Delta where they did some 757 work in exchange for JT-8 engine work.
Check with Local 514.

How nice...the AMFA members voted to outsource their own work. Shows a real high intelligence level associated with anything that bears the AMFA logo.

For your edification, the votes have not been cast (except one that I know of).
The voting process will end 8/23/04 at 10:00 AM ET.

So quit your 'speculations' until the 'vote'.

Also, for your 'edification' (as it appears some need it) the actions of the AMFA representation at UAL reflects directly on the UAL membership. As you know, we have some fine tuning to address but I am confident that we are moving in the right direction.

Qoute from Chicago Tribune, August 8th. See how he intends to help!

"It would be better if they got off their high horse and started working with employees. We could tell them how to save money," said O.V. Delle-Femine, national director for the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association, which represents United's mechanics.

nw, is there something about the membership voting on what they want instead of unelected officers making the decisions? Let me know when we can expect our full revote. By the way, speaking about voting, when do the ballots go out for little's, gless's, yingst's elections go out to the membership?

You have got to be kidding right????!!! The amfa influence has all but desimated the M&R at UAL!!!!!! What happened to protecting the profession????? You might want to check with those retirees that are fixing to get the shaft, about your sentiment!!!
