The teamsters finally called AMFA for a meeting. At first the teamsters wanted only 3 members from both sides to meet. One of our National Directors told them (teamsters), "We don't operate like that", "If you guys want to meet, it will be with our entire Senority Integration Commitee, Our LEC Officers, All the attorneys, AND including any and all observers will also attend as well." We just took a list of volenteers to attend as observers at our monthy union meeting this past Wed.
As far as the pilots list goes, its all rumers until they get something voted in. I assure you we will have a copy of their agreement as soon as possible. Our mechanics and pilots here at SW are using the same attorneys for the senority intregration. Thats why I have a feeling we will probably end up with what the pilots get, or even better due to there are alot less of us compared to number of pilots. We will know more next week. At least the ball is finally rolling. Would love to be there for the first meeting. Just to see how the teamsters do. BTW; Airtran mechanics should follow AMFA11.com for updates after each meeting.
