Any word on what is going on here? I''ve only seen a small bit of info on service disruptions. Are the two sides going back to the table?

There haven't been any disruptions to flights thru the CHAOS methods as of yet. The AFA put out a press release a couple of days ago saying that due to Sept. 11 and its significance, as well as to pay tribute to those who were lost, suspended any possible job actions for the period of Sept. 10-12. What will happen after that, I don't know. I don't think most of the FA's know what will happen.

As for returning to the bargaining table in the near future, I wouldn't hold my breath. Both sides are posturing to the media, but won't budge. I don't see them going back for a long time. The company is ready to lock out the ones that do CHAOS and hire replacements. It might get alittle messy in the near future. Rumor has it that advance bookings are down - could be due to CHAOS or just the slow fall/winter season coming up. We'll see...
