New York Times

Treasury Department investigators have ordered major airlines to turn over records of their dealings in 2002 and 2003 with the federal board overseeing loans to domestic carriers, industry officials said Friday.

Jim, the articles do not mention the specific Airlines. Would you presume that USAirways would be one of the Airlines Supeoned??

maybe they ought to see if 2 judges from the 3rd circuit court of appeals had lunch on U....

Delldude: You are too funny for words. You always give me a chuckle.

ktflyhome,

As you say, the specific airlines are not named so no way to tell until further info comes out - if it does.

That picture kind of reminds me of Hilrado Riverez (not sure I spelled that correctly) in his earlier days. 😛

This could be interesting for current holders and future applicants.

Interesting to note that the approval of the modifications to the US Airways covenants agreed to last week by the ATSB passed by a 2 to 1 vote of the 3 member ATSB. The 1 member who voted against modification was the Treasury representative. <_<

Now Treasury is investigating what's going on with all this ATSB stuff. 😛h34r:

So much for Free Markets and open competition. Handouts did not stabilise the airline business, they distorted it. In the long run they will only serve to prolong the inevitable. A bad airline that's badly run will go out of business, with or without free money. Of course, our friend Dave will still be a multi-millionaire when US Airways is only a memory.

"Word of the subpoenas had circulated in aviation circles since late February. But some officials expressed surprise at the inclusion of Montgomery, who they said is known as a straight arrow. "He wouldn't even take a Coke from anyone," said an executive at one airline, who spoke on condition of anonymity."

I can not believe a certain self serving 320Cap did not mention this before. With all of his inside information into the workings of the ATSB the guy was not given news that had been circulating for awhile..........From this observers perch, I am stunned. Where will I turn for news now? Sean Hannity? Dime Bag, or should I say Limbaugh.

The first article DOES state that the subpoenas went out to the airlines that have either received or applied for the ATSB....you can make an inference from that...and I would not be a bit surprised.

Just figures! 🙄

You didn't spell it correctly. Fortunately for al of us there are no "Points off" for spelling, grammer or punctuation.

FYI it's Geraldo Rivera, he lives about 40 miles up the coast from me here in NJ or at least his ex-wife does. Not totally sure who got the house. Mostly because i don't care. I did see his helicopter land once.
Bob,

Was your point to be critical of a poster's spelling , or to let everyone know that you live up the coast from the Rivera's?

PS: For FYI.... you spelled "all" and "grammar" incorrectly in your post. <_<
