SAFIRE AIRCRAFT SELECTS APEX TO SUPPLY WING, ENPENNAGE AND NACELLE FOR SAFIRE JET

Opa-Locka, Florida (July 2, 2003) – Safire Aircraft Company today said it signed a contract with Apex Engineering International of Wichita, KS to manufacture the wing, empennage and engine nacelle for the company’s new generation six-seat Safire Jet.

Apex Engineering is a fully integrated producer of aircraft parts and assemblies specializing in rapid development programs and complex tasks, from engineering concept designs to completed assemblies. The Apex management team has more than 150 years of aircraft design and development experience.

According to Safire President and CEO Camilo Salomon, “This agreement marks the final contract for major assemblies and components of the Safire Jet. The program is proceeding on schedule.â€￾

The Safire Jet, priced at $1.395 million, is scheduled to make its first flight next year, with FAA certification and deliveries beginning in 2006.

Earlier this year, Safire signed contracts with Williams International for the twin-turbofan FJ33 engines, Avidyne for the FlightMax Entegra integrated flight deck, Castle Precision for the landing gear, and Metalcraft Technologies for the fuselage.

The Safire Jet is leading a new generation of turbofan powered airplanes that will feature unprecedented economies in acquisition and operating costs. Safire Aircraft’s design philosophy has been to incorporate the most advanced, but proven, technologies to ensure a low risk program and on-time deliveries, at a cost comparable to higher priced piston twins and turboprop aircraft.
