Today at Aprox 3pm Gary Peterson through a group page to all stewards Etc. that the company has announced the following station CLOSURES for Title 1 and Title 5:
BDL
IAH
PHL
SNA
Numbers on this RIF are 85 AMTs and 12 Stock Clerks.

In addition AA has also announced reductions of 3 QA inspectors in SFO and 23 Stock Clerks from the following stations
LAX
SFO
DEN
RNO
EWR

THE TWU INTL HAS OBJECTED TO THIS RIF!

I suppose we can count on more "appropriate action" from Little.

We (the TWU) saved 12,000 jobs and three maintenance bases by agreeing to the restructing agreement (without further ratification).

While other airlines outsource work and reduce headcount, we (the TWU) have saved all in-house work and 12,000 jobs.

And because of relentless pressure from your union (the TWU) management has now "shared in the sacrifice" by elminating 60 management jobs.

Just wait 'till see what we have next as we "restructure" the TWU-ATD.

Thank you again for saving me from AMFA and the nice appointment that came with that effort.

Happy Holidays to you in the "rank-and-file", from the King-Pins of the TWU.

Signed,
James C. Little
TWU- ATD Director, Int'l EXEC VP, Intl VP, Int'l E-board
More pension than you the lowly dues payer of our organization.

What do the layoffs at another carrier or even AMFA have to do with the TWU members getting laid off?

Your fear of AMFA will not save TWU members from anything. All the TWU has done is lowered the wages and benefits. Now the layoffs start and you blame AMFA.

I think you should concentrate on another round of pay cuts and hurry!

Maybe if we lower the wages to minimum wage we can employ the entire country, reunionize the whole country and raise the net dues collection for the TWU.

Remind us again....

What is the payscale at NWA?

How many paid Holidays?

How much paid Vacation?

What about overtime, are they working overtime?

And when they work this overtime, do they get double-time?

Did they actually ratifiy their current labor agreement, or was it a "without further ratification" signed letter by a dictator?

You can compare laid-off all you want TWUer, but about the wages, benefits, and time off that Jim Little just screwed you backwards 50 years on?

And lets not forget that when Little retires he gets an annual compounded 5% yearly increase. Thats better than any working TWU member gets!! We have to give concessions so the company can grow and put more dues payers on the clock to provide the funds for those pensions!

Look people! Just VOTE YES! this spring for more concessions and just be happy that you have a job! Be on the winning team for once and just VOTE YES! Give the company what it wants! The company only has your best interest in mind! Stop fighting the company and just VOTE YES! Who needs a paycheck or benefits anyway? They're way overrated! Why do you need a house, when you can live in your 30+ year old pickup truck in the AA parking lot?    :cold: :cold:

What percentage of dues do the members have to give to the company?

The answer is two hours pay per month
