US Airways to Add Seats on Saturdays to Florida in Time for Summer Travel Season

ARLINGTON, Va., April 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- US Airways will introduce nonstop Saturday service to three Florida destinations from Baltimore/Washington International (BWI); Columbus, Ohio; Greenville, S.C.; Harrisburg, Pa.; Providence, R.I.; Raleigh/Durham, N.C.; and Richmond, Va., beginning June 12, 2004.

I think this is a perfect use of aircraft on the weekends. Interesting to see PVD is the only city to get N/S service to FLL other than a hub. This proves how much PVD needs daily nonstop service to FLL.
 
A good place to start. Finally some point to point service, although not by the mainline. Most of these flight will probably carry low yield customers anyways, but at least they're on USAirways and not someone else.
 
Hey marketing department summer is over in south Florida. Our season runs from October through March. Perhaps we are marketing to the European passengers who will no doubt love to fly on us again after the horrendous experience last year being charged for drinks, headsets, being fried waiting in the glass corridor trying to get to the domestic gates, misconnecting and staying at the Days Inn their first night in the States. Thank god for non stop service on Virgin!
