America West Announces Additional Nonstop Service Between Phoenix and Toronto

PHOENIX, April 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA - News), the second largest low-fare carrier in the U.S., announced today that it will introduce a second nonstop, roundtrip flight between Phoenix and Toronto, which will operate Sunday through Friday. Beginning June 25, 2004, travelers can take advantage of America West's business-friendly fare structure, exceptional service and access to 37 connecting cities through the airline's Phoenix hub.
"In an effort to respond to growing customer demand, we have expanded our low-fare service and increased the number of connections to this popular international destination," said Dion Flannery, vice president, scheduling, route planning and Internet distribution. "We're pleased to provide our customers with additional travel options and convenience, particularly during the busy summer vacation months."
America West currently provides extensive service and business-friendly fares between Phoenix and four popular destinations in Canada including Vancouver, British Columbia; Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta; and Toronto, Ontario.
The new flight between Phoenix and Toronto will utilize the 124-seat Airbus A319 aircraft featuring 12 first class seats and 112 main cabin seats.
