I experienced a great flight crew this last week and I would like to send a letter to someone who will read it at DL. My past experience with DL is that my letters get filed in the round file number 13. These ladies were the best crew that I have seen in a long time and I want to make sure their job well done is recognized.

Thanks in advance for any name and address of a real person.

Ok, Maybe I can get an address if I post the letter or maybe they will see it here.

Dear Sir or Madam.

I would like share with you a pleasant experience that I enjoyed on flight 254 from LIT to ATL tonight, June 24, 2003. I just flew with one of the best crews that I can remember in a long time while flying on any airline. Two of the three crew members were P******* E****** #93**** and K******* G****** # 61****. I apologize, but I did not get the name of the third member.

I would like to preface my comments with the statement that they did nothing extra special or out of the ordinary for me or for any other passenger that I observed. I am writing this letter because of their extraordinary attention to the ordinary small details.

You could sense this crew was special from the moment I boarded the plane. I was warmly greeted with a sincere and smiling welcome on board and you could tell that they genuinely meant it. Being seated in 1B, I took special notice that they were greeting everyone in this manner and you could tell the other passengers notice it too. The manner in which this small task was performed provoked me to watch them closely as they continued their work. I fly frequently and this activity is something that I usually ignore, but these ladies were special. I was quickly asked and served the drink that I ordered and continued to watch as they assisted a lady with a small child get all of her belongings back to her coach seat. Seat 1A showed up a little late and there was no room in the first class overheads so he put his luggage several rows back in coach. One of these two ladies noticed this small detail from the front galley and in a few moments greeted 1A and informed him that she had found some room in the first class overheads and wanted to know if he would like to bring his luggage back up to front. She had made the effort to make the room and then informed 1A that there was space available and even helped him move his carry on luggage. All of this observed from the front galley then performed quietly with no fan fare. In my twenty years of flying I have never seen a flight attendant be this observant and considerate of their customer. This pleasant attitude continued and was observed with the continued attention to customer from the serving of drinks to the passing of the snack basket. I was asked several times if they could get me anything, all on a 90 minute flight. Again you tell these ladies truly enjoyed serving and assisting their passengers

My brief conversation with P****** when I wanted to get their names to write this letter is a good summary of this crew’s attitude. Observing that they were constantly busy performing the cabin service, I approached her and said “I know you are very busy, but when you get a chance I would like to ask you a favor†and before I could ask for the information she immediately said “I’ll be glad to help you now, what can I do for you.â€

This crew did nothing that I would consider extraordinary or above and beyond the call of duty. On the contrary, they approached the ordinary with a genuine joy in doing their job well and making their customer feel good about being on Delta. There was a chemistry among this crew and it was evident they enjoyed working together as a team of three. They were the very visible reincarnation of the “Spirit of Delta†that I fondly remember from years ago. As a road warrior of around 180,000 to 200,000 miles a year on someone’s plane, this crew was exceptional and is to be commended on approaching their job with a genuine delight of doing it well.

Thank you for taking the time to write a good letter about your experience. There has been so much Delta publicity lately(some not so positive)> As a Delta crew member, your recognition of good service will go a long way to motovating other F/A''s to do the same! Thanks again!!!
