For you pilot and dispatcher types: The new tentative agreement supposedly (I've only been able to read the bullet points of the agreement) does away with the ridiculous $25 charge for OAL additional jumpseaters. Under the current rules, we allow one OAL jumpseater, and any additional jumpseaters are "graciously allowed" to buy a $25 pass at the gate. Under the TA, we'll be able to accomodate one jumpseater on the flt. deck (we may have some 737s with 2 jumpseats) and as many in the back as there are empty seats, all at no charge. If the TA is approved by the membership, this would go into effect July 1st.
