Why all the Ahmenijhad hoopla? Beats me, i guess we need a new bogeyman. However, even el chimpo couldn't dismiss the report from the NIE, so clearly it has some validity.

Let me rephrase...why then all Ahminejhad's hoopla?Sure looks like taunting from his side.

Said the NIE was recently declassified....maybe more CIA Grey information.

Why a country awash in oil and natural gas needs a nuclear program designed around producing

fissile material that is easily made into weapons grade material is beyond me.The fact that they are

intent on producing their own instead of getting it on the open market causes me concern.

Ahminejad wants to put Persia back on the map....this is one way to do it and do it quick.

What was that flash?

Know what Dell, I'm not gonna' say your 100% wrong, on Iran's intentions.

That said, IF they do "have them", their first Target Is ISRAEL. Last time I checked, the JEWS are ENORMOUSLY capable of Pre-empting Danger, AND IF Iran tried ANYTHING stupid...the Iran that we know today, would get a rapid entry into the World History books(By the JEWS) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have NO business in Iraq(EXCEPT for OIL)....NO business in Iran, and MUCH business in Afganistan.........PERIOD !!!

Perhaps it was a lot like the Saddam hoopla. You know - he kept acting like he had them. I believe he said later on that he did it to keep Iran at bay.

Maybe they are thinking ahead? Odds are they are not but someone sure as hell ought to be wondering whats next when it is no longer realistic to keep sucking oil out of the ground. IMO nuke is not the way to go but maybe someone over there is thinking out of the box. And besides, everyone else has them, why not Iran? Seem like a double standard to me. We negotiated with Russia and they had/have a whole lot more of them and one could argue that Krushev was just as nuts as Ahminejhad. Is it because Iran is small and Russia was big? Not sure why we are so surprised that someone who does not like us has a nuke or wants a nuke.

I find it hard to believe that we can send humans to other planets and can't create a viable alternate energy source. I do realize that Georgie and his Masters (Saudis) have to milk their trillions from us doing this last hurrah.

Our removal from dependence on oil should be a Cabinet post, and considered a National Emergency. Our dependence on oil is second only to the invasion of millions of illegal aliens as the top threats to our Republic and American culture.

We have got to force change...and it must be swift and complete. We can not continue to allow the crack pots of the world to control our economy with oil.

(God...I almost sound Republican, and I am an Independant!)

I do not think it is that we can't. I believe it is that there is more money to be made by keeping us dependent on oil and those that who wish to keep us dependent are far more powerful and have far ore resource and have far deeper pockets than those who want to break that dependency. As you pointed out. We have put people on the moon, we have looked in to the far reaches of space, we have technology that has morphed several times in the last 30 or 40 years yet we are still running our cars on technology discovered over 100 years ago. Yes it has been refined but it is still the same concept in my opinion. Not like going from an RCA dog player thing (think horn looking speaker thingy) to a Flash Drive. I believe it is intentional.

So you and I can sleep at night knowing we have done our best to level the playing field so

everybody equally has nukes.....great......except that a radically fundamentally orientated

regime that already has openly orated the total elimination of Israel and is a proven sponsor of

terrorist organizations and has publicly denounced everything western(which BTW includes most

of the major developed countries) will in the end have the nuclear option available to these same

sponsors of terror.I find your logic somewhat illogical........DUH 😱

Are you so naieve to think that the Administration did'nt sign off on this new Intel.? He is the CIC and nothing is witheld from the mans desk who has the codes for Armageddon. After Iraq he knows the score, he also knows that a draft would be required to combat a million man army which Iran boasts of, and after almost a loss of 4000 US Servicemen in Iraq he understands America has'nt the stomach. Usama Bin Laden already figured out that americans can't stand the sight of blood after our fast retreat from mogadishu and took full advantage of it!

Iran should have been dealt with in 1979, but alas just like all presidents since the peanut farmer they "kick the can" and pass it on. If many on this board get their way perhaps we will get to see How a Woman deals with a nation who refuses to recognize her worth as nothing more than a few goats on the market!

Should get very interesting!

Let a dirty bomb go off and watch'em squirm!

I am so glad we don't have to worry about Iran anymore. Now I can relax and just worry about who is going to win American Idol.........

Um...George W Bush ALSO figured out that Americans can't stand the sight of blood. Because if he really wanted to fight a "global war on terror", he would have reinstated the draft to provide the manpower to do it. But that would have been political suicide - not for him...his term's almost up - because if he did that now, it'd be a cold day in hell before another Republican sat in the oval office. Bush knows that. Party uber alles.

Say what you wish against 'W'...but you will all live to see the day soon when Iran bites us in the

ass. 😉
