WASHINGTON – The House approved a $3.6 trillion federal budget on Thursday with no Republican support, a sign of deep partisan tensions likely to color Congressional efforts to enact the major policy initiatives sought by President Obama.

With out tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans what is there to support? I love how they (GOP) are so concerned about leaving a burden on the next generation. Will it matter to them if they have no social services, no education, no affordable medicine, no renewable energy living in a country that produces no manufactured goods?

Lets see here Bushes last budget was 3.1 trillion and that is not counting the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Because they never put that in the budget. Obama's budget is 3.5 trillion and has money for education, renewable energy, affordable health care and helps the middle class and working poor who are struggling to survive.

You think gov't run healthcare will be affordable?? Oh you'll probably be able to afford it but it won't be like what you had....

Renewable energy is a noble cause...but your boy wants to tax coal and natural gas out of existence.Wind farms are not the future.....sure......they're a part of the solution but not the answer.........Solar.....too costly for the gain............Nuclear......now you talkin'....Oh....did I forget drilling for oil to create an economic stimulus that will work for the next 5 to 15 years and beyond and help us buy time on renewable energy to get away from import oil? :huh:

So we live in a country that labor costs and government regulation has chased manufacturers out and afforded third world countries a chance to step up in this global economy....but who is at fault now?

Why don't we send the illegals back where they came from and make those on the government teat take the jobs that illegals have been doing and start providing tax revenue instead of tax liability? 😱

I always ask people, "When was the last time you contacted your State House, Senate, U.S. House, Senate 'Representative'?"

Most cannot even tell you who they are. Apathy is not an excuse.

The Congress is going to follow the wishes of those from whom they hear the loudest roar (or from where they receive the biggest check if they are the corrupt kind). It is our duty to be part of that democratic process.

If you want to know the plan...read and comprehend the bills that affect us all. Now as someone else pointed out above, there has been much voter apathy in this country, because they would be apothetic than to be involved. Most don't know what questions to ask their Congressmen and/or Senators, much less their State legislators. You will be heard if you contact them and get your friends and family to contact them either by phone, email or written letter. Most Senators and Congressmen will write you back.

The Republicans are not working hand-in-hand with the travesty existing on Capitol Hill under One Party Rule. Two party rule is what our Forefathers intended....to battle it out until a consensus is reached. Its sad that most Americans don't have an interest in learning what they need to know to function at a higher level in their lives. Civics is no longer taught in school. We are producing highschool graduates with no knowledge of government and how it works.

The bills that affect us ? The PLAN i'm talking about is a secret goverment plan to restore consumer and investor confidence in the market ... you are NOT going to be able to look it up online or contact your represetive and have them fill you in on it ..

it sounds really crazy to say this , but i beleive that the goverment has some sort of hail mary plan that they are now excuting to attempt to revive our economy ... the media is being controlled and political events are being manipulated if not outright created .
