I was cleaning out a few things in the attic the other day and came across a box of old PI and US memorabilia, and was wondering if there's a place to sell or give away this stuff. I have such things as:
  • Copies of The Piedmonitor monthly newsletter dating to 1986
  • Decks of both PI and US (with the old red/orange logo) playing cards, still shrink wrapped and never opened
  • A speed bird cigarette lighter (that still works)
  • Old PI system timetables
  • The PI Flight Attendant training manual from 1986
  • A cookie tin shaped like a London double decker bus to commemorate the first CLT-LGW flight
  • PI stationery
  • PI lapel buttons (ex. "Catch Piedmont to Nassau" and "It's Chair Days at Piedmont")
Does any of it still fetch a price with collectors? It's just junk to me at this point but I know some folks eat that kind of thing up.

Check Ebay. I've sold some stuff there. There is a section devoted to airline specific collectibles. Maybe you could sell the lot.

If you have a Piedmont Timetable for August 1984 I would be interested. That was the month and year I was hired with Piedmont Airlines in Roanoke VA.

Ditto eBay, I've made a few bucks off some old PI stuff I have. I got $49 bucks for a ramp jumpsuit that still had the tags on it!!! I also have a stack of "Jet Piedmont" bumper stickers that usually bring $3-8 bucks + shipping. I have an 18 gal plastic bin full of stuff I need to list.

Was that your listing for the old USAir ramp jumpsuit?

Anyways NonRev PM me if you have anything interesting 😉

At the same time, I've got some old Allegheny Airlines stuff timetables and assoted stuff if anyone's interested

No, sorry. The timetables I have are June of '89 (the last one that was PI and then the Aug. 5 1989 timetable, which was the first "merged" one. And a few from 1990.

How much for the speed bird lighter?

Don't know how long you want to hang on to that stuff (or how long your significant other will let you), but there are many collectibles shows held at hotels all over the country, almost year-round.

If there's one within driving distance of you, you might be able to get rid of most of the stuff in one shot, without the hassle of shipping items one at a time all over the planet.

The shows are usually listed in Airliners magazine, which any larger newsstand or bookstore should sell.
