Has the migration to Sabre operations on the west side been completed? if so were there any issues?

nobody fly on may 15th. thats when the company plans the single certificate and also plans to go sabre. you thought res was bad wait til this goes down. the so called training given to the west teamleads was a book and time sequence of events and commands to be used for entries. no actual flight sim was done and the trainers had no clue on what they were training. flts will be gate returning like you wouldnt believe and it will be a nightmare out west. Personally there was a grievance filed out west to stop this from going forward due to the simple fact the the east CLP agents will be doing former west work by planning our flts and performing the W/B on them. and as you have guessed the IAM has done nothing. It was filed under the expediate process in our contract to be selected with an arbitrator within 3 days of filing and heard within 30 days and ruled within 30 days. No arbitrator has been picked and its been almost 3 weeks since its been filed.

Good luck stopping CLP from taking you flights over. They can't handle the flights they have now. East flights sit on the runway waiting and waiting for W&B and CLP sit in their little kingdom blaming the station call the station personel names. Thinking they are superior than the other ops people. Half of them don't even know what the inside of the cargo bins look like. They don't communicate with the dispatcher.CLP system is a joke. GOOD LUCK NevadaHP from one ole Loadmaster to another.

Weeks of training going on in Dispatch and also heard some delay beyond May 1. CLP has been closing flights due to delays at station with inputs from anyone that can help. They dont want to do it but it was so bad sometimes USAir flights were directed to alternate runways for take-off.

If flights are waiting for their numbers is it generally one of two thing happening (or not). 1) Waiting for the ramp to enter their cargo numbers. or 2) Most likely Cust Svc trying to close out the flight from their end and having a heck of a time with it due to Shares and its uselessness.

The is the genric answer from CLP...blame the station.Monitor the flights and maybe the delays will minimize. CLP = Causes Lots of Problems

I wouldnt call it the generic response. Dispatch has been the middleman in a lot of it. CLP cant just make up pax and cargo numbers. We were getting numbers from the cockpit and forwarding. CLP did not want to do anyone else's job.

It's "supposed" to happen on May 15th. Teamleads in PHX will be working flights from the jetway on new kiosks with native Sabre on it. I say "native Sabre" because they're developing a keypad in QIK (I think its Ctrl+F7 right now, but it doesn't work yet). They'll be entering everything in DECS.

And CLP is 100% correct, they can't do their job without the station doing theirs. 99 times out of 100 the numbers haven't been sent because either the ramp or the gate haven't finalized their count. Give 'em all the crap you want, but the CLP guys I've talked to all know what they're doing.

I agree that the teamleads will have no idea what they're doing...the training is pretty sub-par. However, rumor is East will be sending people out to help like West did for the RES cutover.

Not ALL CLP agents know what is going on,,,,, Most YES, but not all. Maybe someone has the answer, but how many new CLP agents have they hired in the last few months? Have worked with a few that were obviously in Training.

I think they're recalling a bunch but I don't know how many.

The cutover is planned for May 15th. The system of using CLP works only as good as the agents who do what there suppose to do. Closing out the flights in a timly manner for one. There are going to be agents sent out from the east to assit those west agents.
The sabre W/B system is so much eaiser to use than mapper and will be a welcome change from the cutover to Shares.
The biggest problem I can see will come from the large stations such as PHX and LAS. The ramp leads will have to make sure there cargo is closed out and C/S will also have to make sure that they ahve the Pax numbers in and closed out before the A/C is at the end of the runway.
One of the problems I see a lot is the C/S agents just forget to close out a flt as they get busy with another flt becasue of being so shorthanded.
One thing I would advise any west Gate agents to remember is you can put the pax numbers in and than the flt can be reopened so you can PDC the flt at a later time.
The system just needs the total onboard with the frist class and coach breakdown.
Its a good system just give it sometime and we will all be glad its here.
