Pat Robertson Predicts 'Mass Killing'
The Associated Press
Tuesday, January 2, 2007; 10:25 PM

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- In what has become an annual tradition of prognostications, religious broadcaster Pat Robertson said Tuesday God has told him that a terrorist attack on the United States would result in "mass killing" late in 2007.

"I'm not necessarily saying it's going to be nuclear," he said during his news-and-talk television show "The 700 Club" on the Christian Broadcasting Network. "The Lord didn't say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that."

Robertson said God told him during a recent prayer retreat that major cities and possibly millions of people will be affected by the attack, which should take place sometime after September.

Reminds me of the time he prayed: Please let another Supreme Court Justice die so that we can fill the position with a conservative.

I wonder if God has ever discussed that woman that is on with him that looks like an over-the-hill hooker with her Dolly Parton (circa 1970) hair-do and the false eyelashes that would look too long on a cow.

As Gandhi once said, "Having read the teachings of Jesus Christ I could very easily have been a Christian if I had not met so many of them."

If god wanted me to believe in it, all it has to do is call P. Robertson, O. Roberts and the jets of those quacks home. That would give me a reason to consider having faith.

"I have a relatively good track record," he said. "Sometimes I miss."

The Old Testament penalty for missing:

"And Jehovah said unto me, They have well said that which they have spoken. I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee; and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. But the prophet, that shall speak a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die. And if thou say in thy heart, How shall we know the word which Jehovah hath not spoken? when a prophet speaketh in the name of Jehovah, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which Jehovah hath not spoken: the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously, thou shalt not be afraid of him." Deut. 18:17-22

The New Testament penalty:

"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book" Rev. 22:18

Sounds like Pat is in a world of hurt!

Methinks old Pat has been nipping the sacramental wine on occasion. He has of late come up with some controversial blurbs.
