(AAI) AirTran Airways Announces Enhanced Service to West Palm Beach; Low-Fare Carrier to Add Nonstop Flights to Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia

(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 15, 2003--AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AAI), today announced that the low-fare airline will enhance service to/from Palm Beach International Airport by adding daily nonstop service to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia International Airport. All flights will be operated with new Boeing 717 jet aircraft. Tickets are now available for purchase.
Nonstop service to Washington, D.C., will begin December 4, 2003. Nonstop service to Philadelphia is effective February 4, 2004.
"Palm Beach International Airport serves almost six million passengers each year, and AirTran Airways is pleased to offer them a low-cost alternative for travel to two popular destinations," said Kevin Healy, AirTran Airways vice president of planning and sales. "We continue to see increased demand at West Palm Beach, and now both business and leisure travelers will be able to take advantage of AirTran Airways' everyday low fares to Philadelphia and Washington, D.C."
