Jerks, arrogant SOB's, sucky personalities need not apply. One more thing, you've got to earn your money here. If you're looking for the free ride, try looking somewhere else.
Thanks for insulting all the rest of us!

With a condescending attitude like that, how did you get hired?

He/She was just stating the obvious. 😉

I think the net increase for the year is about 35 - with about 12 or so 732s leaving for eternal bliss in the other half of the desert.

Frankbooth,

You made a wrong ass umption. I was referring to the whiners working for WN that complained that we have to work too hard for our pay. Just a little over two years ago, many discontented wished they worked for "traditional" carriers where they could work less and earn more (in thier words). For those of us from the "old school", listening to these complainers got old fast. If you took this as an insult, maybe the shoe fits.

Noted. Thought you were dissing all those currently furloughed from a 'major'.

I'm back in the good ol' USAF, keeping the world free, etc... so i won't be able to apply.

I actually get paid more than if I was still at my old airline and now that the war is winding down, I work less as well.

I always thought the 'work hard, play hard' corporate culture was the main reason people applied to WN in the first place.

Spanky,
Did I not see some VJA action on your Maestro board, my brother? That's getting paid more to do less, n'est ce pas? Is it OK to get paid more to do less if you don't whine about it, or is it never OK? Or is it just OK when skeds is in a jam (as they've seemed to be lately)? If you like to work more for less, just bid reseve and sign up for EF and leave the VJA for us greedy whiners.
Peace, my brother.

6 Feet Under in Graceland,

If one has a legit gripe, whine away. When one signs on the dotted line then thinks his buddy is getting better deal elsewhere, he has two choices. Quit and go work where his buddy is at or suck it up and do his job without bitching and whining (making the rest of us miserable). Kind of like them professional athletes that don't show up to training camp because some dude got a better deal than they had. Nice try trying to twist the use of VJA into this. 😛

Thanks for clearing that up. I was just trying to figure out what "is" is.

One question, who decides what's legit?

I think he or she has more than two. Like maybe a hunnert. He can quit, he can stay, he can work part-time, he can sell used limos in South Texas, he can become an actor, he can become a chief pilot. THe list is really endless. If he HAD only those two choices, perhaps life would be simpler, but this is America my friend. It's all about choices.
Nice try trying to twist the use of VJA into this.
Thanks. I thought so as well. B) 😉

P.S. I'm not dead. I faked my death in order to live out my true dream occupation. I am going to be the next host of PBS's "This Old House". Check local listings for dates and times.
