Lufthansa expands PrivatAir services

Lufthansa is expanding its innovative wet-lease arrangement with PrivatAir to two more routes this summer, building on the existing Duesseldorf-Newark service being operated by the Geneva-based VIP travel specialist using Boeing BBJs that seat 48 in an all-business-class configuration.
Under an agreement announced Friday, LH will begin offering six weekly BBJ flights from Munich to Newark on May 19 and from Duesseldorf to Chicago beginning June 9. Additionally, LH said the contract with PrivatAir for the Duesseldorf-Newark route is being extended for an unlimited period. All flights are staffed with PrivatAir cabin and cockpit crews.
Separately, Lufthansa announced that it will begin daily A340 nonstop service between Montreal and Munich May 19. Flights will be operated as a joint venture in codeshare with Air Canada.
