Frankly, much more than Fish or WT, this news should be directed at a certain US Airways captain who has claimed -- literally for years -- that United couldn't produce an approvable POR and would thus be selling its major assets to the (now) Tempe-based airline. IMHO, being able to tell this certain US Airways captain (after the almost-guaranteed final bankruptcy court approval next month, of course), "We told you that you had no idea what you were talking about!", is the sweetest byproduct of this news from United.

It's not worth acknowledging these guys. Take comfort in knowing the headlines will remind them on a daily basis.

I agree the certain pilot we all are familar with should not be excluded. The vocal detractors have been loud and this is a nice step in the new direction of the company. The ups and downs associated with the BK and ATSB process have been very stressful for all UAL employees. While this is not time to rest on our laurels it is good to see the detractors bounced into the looney bin.

Fish you said we would never be at this point. So now you are giving us 6 more years? That is very kind of you. Now for you homework can you tell us the difference between the UA and US bk's? Look it up, get back to us when you realize you have your info. more wrong than at any other time you have posted.
One thing that will be played out by the 6 year mark, is the battle of DEN. Either LUV or F9 will be gone from the the market. Care to place a bet?
i had my first flight on frontier last week. i had been avoiding them because of the nasty postings of mrfish. contrary to what i had expected, they did a fairly nice job. all employees there are not as obnoxious. i will stay with UAL and AA, however because they still do the best work in this ugly environment.
