After 2 years of several accidents, poor baggage handling, and a revolving door of new hires, FSS, has been shown the door in ROC. Our new contractor is DGS. They are part of Delta Airlines. Everyone at FSS, has to re-apply at the new company. It's too bad we ever contracted out the ramp in ROC, in the first place. Big mistake all around. The ground equipment is totally beat, thanks to all those 18 year old kids, driving like maniacs. I just hope that Delta can do a much better job for us, than FSS, has done. Say a prayer!!!!! Just wish we had our old ramp agents back.

I think that FSS lost their contract in AVP as well, but they are being replaced by Piedmont.....

FSS ends at AVP on Nov 15th....our guys did a good job for them while they were here...revolving door yes but the core of the group who stayed on carried their weight and they had minimal problems. All have interviewed with Piedmont and depending on the amt of manpower needed maybe they'll be able to continue working. Not much money there but couple more bennies that FSS couldnt provide. CWA will be running an election in next month or two for representation of Piedmont employees. So far majority of cards signed and turned in. Maybe down the road that will help everyone to better wages......Maybe......
