I can take the heat. Ever been in an F-100 or 300 in the middle of August. Hopefully the DC'9's will be cooler. Plus they are a heck of lot better than those boxes we serve going to Europe. Oh yeah, special meals are coming back too. Of course, I can name my source.......
But, it while contain the bunny luv carrots with the ranch dressing, a Doug's Donut (formerly Dave's Donut) w small snicker bars and a 2 dollar off drink coupon. The meals will cost 5 dollars each and you can keep the dish....
 
I must admit that I loved the hampster. Remember the chicken that looked just like a hampster it was ymmmy..

That was disgusting. I loved to go down the jetway after a US flight (premerger) and wonder what the stench was. Looks like no one wanted the delicious wine again. There would be stacks of oj and wine sitting in the cab waiting for someone to take them off (in 95 degree heat for a couple of hours between flights). It was nasty stuff. No wonder no one wanted a plastic cup of wine with the peel off top. 😛h34r:

just in case there was any doubt I'm nuts, I sorta enjoyed doing the "Sunshine Service". Yes, it was messy, yes, customers did not enjoy you trying to hand them a sip of white wine or orange juice as they were trying to get settled, but it was a nice thought. A not very well thought-out thought, but just how much business is well thought out in the airline biz? Witness NWA's coach choice seating....

90% of what is posted on these boards is BS. Most of it is peoples opinions, wishes, whines, dreams, gripes, etc. SKD was just poking fun and pushing the envelope on making people really think about what is posted here and how believable it is. Some people will believe anything. Lighten up dude and learn to laugh.
 
Listen, I think we are all tense. Heaven's knows we've heard some outrageous things. Things that make so sense to the front line or for those who have to deliver said ideas. I have a pretty good sense of humor but have seen some flat-out silly stuff proposed. For instance, eliminate the power ports, discontinue the snack basket. Yeah, that stuff did unhinge me a bit.

I care very much about our customers perceptions and their needs, even though I wash dishes at Hooters. Thank the stars it's the local Hooters and not the airline Hooters! At least I still have glasses to polish! 😛 😛

i believe Tempe is far more receptive to employee input and customer needs and a lot less influenced by beancounter pie grafts and charts.

Yipeee! I do believe we are on an upswing!
