On Saturday the 11th, I took a bag claim from a man who originated his journey in RIC. At dptr time the psgrs were informed that the plane''s cargo door would not open and that all baggage would have to be rerouted. I called RIC and the
ramp lead I spoke to told me that''s exactly the way it happened. He was told by the pilot the door wouldnt open just as he was about to start loading bags. It turns out this plane had been flying around all day with an inop cargo door and no one bothered to include that info on the flight release. Another example of severe psgr
inconvenience that could''ve been avoided.
