“They’ve been part of an industry marked by layoffs, bankruptcies, pay cuts; you name it. We’re not going to change attitudes and opinions over the course of a couple of months or a couple of years. It’s going to take a sustained effort to build back trust, and so the little things that we’re doing right now I do think are making a difference.
It’s five years since the merger began but we have a lot more to do. We have a commitment to our folks that they are compensated appropriately compared with their peers in the industry.”
Isom, Parker, et al are liars pure and simple. What very little information that has been leaked about the company's jcba offer is more concessionary terms. They are disgusting, dishonorable people.

Yes, they got deals done quickly with every other work group. Then they went back and gave more raises while under contract. But they just hate mechanics, that makes soooo much sense. Maybe your union is incompetent. By all accounts that is the issue and only mindless union sheeple would not realize that!
They company made a comprehensive proposal due to your unions snail pace item by item approach. The union took 7 months to respond, WTF? The total contract cost have been set for years the only issues are minutia that for the most part the company does not care about! Your union is the problem and anyone still supporting the union is the problem!
Sorry someone has to state the obvious!
Yeah, the unelected, illegitimate association is a huge problem for us. However it is obvious from the combines actions and proposals that they have no respect for us and no intention of the oft promised ILC. The generous July 2017 company offer had gems in it like outsourcing all of facilities maintenance. Outsourcing de-icing and eliminating approx 1500 M&R Overhaul jobs. Yes, our association is overmatched and outgunned. It is equally true that the company hates those of us below the wing. They would not dare offer such concessionary terms to the pilots or flight attendants. Both groups have strong, elected representation.
Truthfully hog the more you make comments like this “Yes, our association is overmatched and outgunned” the more you guarantee or deserve failure.
You might as well tell your President that you demand he bring you back that job killer ask and make sure you vote to pass it as it’s exactly what you expected anyway.
When licensed A&Ps worry about things like facility MX, Deicing, tug drivers you actually devalue your profession and make out sourcing more likely not less likely. Almost everything unions typically do, does more harm than good.
