Rumour that Eagle is parking LAX SAABs, may close LAX Eagle base

A former American Eagle pilot has posted the following on www.flyertalk.com this morning:

Say Buh-Bye to Saab's

The president of Eagle has said in his base visit to LAX that the parking of Saabs will begin shortly and reduction in LAX flying (possibily elimination of LAX base)...All this due to INABILITY TO PROPERLY STAFF THE AIRLINE

I'm glad I left...it's the incredible shrinking airline

Interesting... There'd been a rumor about a year ago that ExpressJet would be picking up flying for AMR at LAX. Perhaps the two are intertwined...
