Scabs To The Rescue!

Was wondering when someone was going to post this. If I had started the thread it would have turned into a UAL bashing oasis. However, this is happening today and NWA in both the F/A and mechanic ranks.

Unfortunately, it shouldn't come as a suprise to anyone familiar with NW's eristic labor/mgmt. relations....I'm curious to hear the AMFA & PFAA "official" responses on this...

Asking a labor group to play ball and take a paycut is one thing but asking them to vote themselves out of a job while the remainng members still take the paycut is another. Oh and BTW we're going to replace with scabs if you don't agree exactly to our terms which include placing you and your family on welfare. And we at NWA would also like to announce a pass charge of 50bucks per person to maintain the privledge of having your name listed as an eligible pass traveller. This fee applies to all whether you fly of not.

pretty safe to say the pilots support the mechs as well.

Have you heard this from actual pilots, or is this just an opinion?

"And we at NWA would also like to announce a pass charge of 50bucks per person to maintain the privledge of having your name listed as an eligible pass traveller. Too bad I don't live in Minneapolis. I could be an F/A strike breaker and get free travel for my family for 50 bucks a year. 🙂

Well "js" I'm glad to see(with you) THAT NOTHING HAS CHANGED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUT,
Being from South Carolina, being a potential SCAB, would definitely "fit the bill" !!!!!!!!!!!

President Lincoln SHOULD have been shot !!
Not for freeing enslaved people, but for RECONSTRUCTION !!!!!!!!!!!

For crying out loud... Reconstruction = replacement worker? Is that the best you can do?

While we're on that subject, Atlanta and Columbia, SC were burned down during the Civil War, but Greenville, SC was not. As a result, Atlanta and Columbia have a grid layout of streets while the Greenville roads still follow the old cow paths. Seriously -- cows meandered along paths among the hills, and the most popular paths became roads for the wagons, then the early cars, and then paved later on. I still have no idea how to drive from one place to another, other than to head in that general direction and turn when the road goes the wrong way. The roads are like spaghetti. 🙂

In any event, I happen to like rights, including the right to work, and of course South Carolina is a right-to-work state. I don't like unions nor government telling me that I have to join an association in order to be a productive member of society.

Obviously you've never been to downtown Atlanta, where the streets jog left and right because they were laid out around the piles of rubble Sherman left behind.

Also, if you're willing to spend $50 per year for your family to be able to sit in the airport and watch planes leave without them, you're just the kind of scab NWA is looking for.

I think that NWA has every intention of letting the mechanics go. By getting all of those scab mechanics ready, I think that it is only a matter of time. Just my thoughts........

Oh and I'm sure that these scab AMT's or F/A's will get a nice warm welcome from the other remaining work groups. 😉 😉 😉

Ok people, I am in a very uncomfortable position. First of all, I will not cross the picket line and take away income away from a fellow mechanic, EVER! No matter how much I hate the unions, I would never cross the line. My question is, what do I do when these pieces of garbage are training where I work? I do not want to be cut-off from an airline opportunity because of where and when I work at my current employer. Is this situation of being "black balled" from anyone who has AMFA possible. I know that scab names and addresses have already been on several web sites. Thought it was rather humorous! I need some advice. HELP!!
