Schedule Changes

At UA that process just started. It was announced yesterday that the pilot and F/A bids are going to be redone based on a pulldown in flights systemwide due to a reduction in bookings. No details yet, but now the April re-bids won''t even OPEN until next week and won''t be awarded until around March 30.

"David N. Siegel, chief of
US Airways, in Alexandria, Va., where its revamping plan was approved. The airline said it did not plan to reduce flights but warned employees of possible cuts in wages and benefits."

Dave says we won't pull down anymore flights since we're already there due to the restructuring. However we will take the 5% Bush paycut.

Of course not, silly! We have to pay for Dubya''s War. That (estimated) $100 to $200 billion has to come from someone.

Apparently, things have changed.

"US Airways is considering wage deferrals and cutting the size of its fleet due to the Iraq war, said John Butler, the airline''s chief bankruptcy attorney."

The key word being "EXPECTED"

Expect the unexpected.

Actually things havent changed. That comment about flights was made by one of the lawyers, not a company official. Dave has said it may have to impose the 5% across the board.
