Indeed they do. NWA certainly needs to revise their orientation program. wow. All the little skeletons come out of the closet don't they?

Perhaps you just missed that part of orientation, busy typing away on US aviation or day dreaming about baiting a hook I would guess. 😀Indeed they do. NWA certainly needs to revise their orientation program.
Eastern lost one due to pilot error.
There was also a NBA player for the Phoenix Suns on that plane, Nick Vanos. The Arizona Republic (PHX paper) has done several similar updates over the years as well. The girl and her family lived in the area, and the flight was on a DTW-PHX trip when it crashed just after takeoff from Metro.
Mymother remembers when "ghosts" began "working" other Eastern flts and one inparticular was I think an engine fire or something like that on approach to MEX. Both of my folks remember when Flt 401 crashed. in fact my dad was working for Delta delivering bags at the time.Oooohh...."The Ghost of Flight 401"! Spooooky....
Not for nothing, but a while ago, the Free Press did a small "where are they now?" blurb on the little girl that survived...
So what is the story with the girl? The Arizona Republic (PHX paper) has done several similar updates over the years as well. The girl and her family lived in the area, and the flight was on a DTW-PHX trip when it crashed just after takeoff from Metro.
<_< ---- No crashs! But what killed the L10, was the rear spar (wing) was cracking, and had to be beefed up! A vary expensive propostion! Most were just grounded after their time ran out! Too bad, otherwise,a vary good aircraft!I dont recall reading any L-1011 Tristars crashing due to lockheed's fault. Delta lost one due to Windshear at DFW in Aug 1985. Eastern lost one due to pilot error.
So what is the story with the girl?
<_< Not quit how it happened! It seems Rolls originally designed the RB211 with Carbon Raped first stag fan blades! Lighter, and cheaper! But they had a couple of failures, and figured out that the engine was ingesting ice, which was cracking the fan blades, causing them to fail! The fix was to go back to titanium! The cost, and delay almost bankrupted them! The British Government had to bail them out! Lockeed had dozens of finished airframes sitting at their Base in Palmdale, Calif. with no engines! Delaying delivery by quit a while! Which in turn, put quit an ecconomic strain on Lockeed! 😉thaks MCI. I do recall that another issue was that Rolls Royce was on strike. I think that delayed their time didnt it?
