What's new

Sfo-ngo Starts Next Year.

This is good news for United since international route expansion, especially across the Pacific, is one way to help lessen the overall financial impact of LCCs on United's system. Yet the flight schedule seems a bit odd -- the westbound flight arrives in NGO at 1640 while the eastbound flight leaves NGO at 1540. On the surface, that would mean the B777 would sit there for 23 hours. But hopefully it really means that we will soon see an announcement from United about another new NGO route (most likely to either ORD or HNL) starting on the same date with arrival and departure times that complement those of the new NGO-SFO flight. United's schedule at KIX (where the SFO flight leaves at 1500 while the flights to ORD and HNL leave at 1755 and 1830, respectively, according to the September 2004 OAG) offers some hope that this will be the case.

Noticed that too, Cosmo.

This is exactly what UA needs to do but which also reinforces that UAL's challenge in emerging from BK at this point is the balance sheet. There simply aren't enough of these new routes that can be launched to fix the balance sheet problems. Doesn't say that fixing the operational finances shouldn't be done, just that the balance sheet issues are in a league of their own.

Cosmo

The possible 23-hour down time could be that UAL is contracting out an A-CK to the folks at NGO. They are running low on even having enough mechanics to run their day-to-day maintenance here in the states. And management’s main goal according to Pete McDonald is to get UAL out of the maintenance business all together. I just truly hope that with all the work going to 3rd party maintenance that nothing seriously happens to any of their aircraft or customers because they wanted to get rid of their maintenance headache i.e. the mechanics.

Same thing happened to two 747-400 that laid over for around 15 hours between Australian flights at LAX. They had a crew that was all they did was the checks on the 400's. Then management moved those overseas to do also, to save money.

Here: take this everyone

ACYCLOVIR (Zovirax®) treats certain types of viral infections, specifically herpes infections. Acyclovir will not cure herpes infections; it will help the sores heal faster and help to relieve the pain or discomfort. Sometimes acyclovir is given to help prevent the infection from coming back.

Yeap FLY, you got those out of your purse and took a pic of them with one of those new photo phones didn't YOU?

Fish,
You have no credibility. We know you can't keep your word. You said you would quite posting several weeks ago. You can't control yourself. Don't make promisses you know you can't keep. You make me ill just like chip did. Get over UAL and press on with your life.

Hey Fish,

Come on, don't quit!! There are some of us who enjoy a good laugh and you have a way of really getting under some peoples skin.. It's fun to watch (read) LMAO when you mentioned where Fly go the Zovirax :bleh: :bleh: Hey, maybe UA will contract maintaince out to F9 in Denver when you get that Hanger, wha da ya think?

Borescope,

Yeah they all hate ME WHAAAA 🙁 We have to wait till UAL management gets off their dead A## and figures out that the hangar isn't doing them any good. Especially once they lose the appeal they have against the city of Denver for the lease money they still were ordered to pay by the BK judge. Can any UAL mechanic tell us exactly how many guys they will still have in Denver when this current first round of lay-offs is finished?

I am glad to see that something finally went in the employees favor! I really hope that they get what they have coming to them for retirement. Not likely, but I truly hope that they do. UAL always hates it when things don't go their way . And it showed that UniTED management isn't anything more than big fat liars! But still they'll wear everyone down eventually just like the way things are happening at USAIR.

big fat liars?!? wahhhhhh Mr Herpes just can't stop! Good thing UAL figured out how to get rid of the crappy employees. How long did they give you unemployment after the losing of your job?

Fly,

Never drew un-employment, went straight from UAL HELL right back home to Colorful Colorado to work for Denvers HOMETOWN airline. Obviously something I would have NEVER accomplished if I would have been DUMB enough to stay at UAL and been ground through the furlough mill.

If you all here on the UniTED threads want to stand behind the inept DUMB A$$ management team that you have go ahead. Do you really think that they care about any of you as individual employees? You, the ones that are left will probably be the last employees at UAL HELL when you finally have to face the realities that the USAIR employees are having to face for a second and probably a final time.

UAL needing 1.6 billion more a year in savings AGAIN is going to be a VERY hard pill for all of you to swallow. Things at the USAIR threads are falling apart VERY rapidly. And as UAL continues to ask you for MORE I suspect that the moral and willingness to save UAL will be as futile as they have become at USAIR.

Beleive me FLY, nothing worked out BETTER in my life than my desicion to get the hell out of HELL!

Fish,
Do you really think UAL employees are responding to you in defense of UAL management?
Your infinite airline wisdom would seem to indicate you should know better than that; and thus are intentionally taunting UAL employees. If you guys are clearly so superior, what kind of a "winner" kicks someone when their down?
By the way, who has so much time to devote to UAL and UsAir boards---are you a F9 manager not actually working (sound familiar) or a loser with no life?
No regards

I thought this thread dealt with SFO-NGO, not Fish's personal triumphs. I believe that F9 needs a Forum of its own. In 3+ months, Fish has 260 posts. Most of those posts are to incite UAL employees with his own, sick views. You really need a couch and some professional help pal. You're a stalker--one who has trouble spelling and socializing. I'm glad you work at F9. One less whacko that I have to deal with. You should submit a request for your own Forum. It could be called the F9 Sanitorium, or Aquarium for that matter. Get a life.
