Last A300 is LIM-MIA redeye, 31AUG09 (lands in MIA 01SEP09).

New short/medium-haul 763 service:

MIA-CCS: Daily 763 service effective 01SEP09 (+3x 757).
MIA-GUA: Daily 763 service effective 01SEP09 (+1x 738).
MIA-GYE: Daily 763 service effective 01AUG09.
MIA-LIM: Daily 763 service effective 01SEP09 (+1x 757).
MIA-MGA: Daily 763 service effective 01SEP09 (+1x 738).
MIA-PAP: 2x daily 763 service effective 01SEP09 (+1x 757).
MIA-PUJ: Daily 763 service effective 01SEP09.

Some other markets will get additional frequency with 738s, such as PTY. More on that will be figured out in the coming months.

ORD-MAN will be a 752 02AUG09.

Are these 763's coming off seasonal/Summer Europe routes to serve these destinations, or somewhere else?

18 757s are being converted to 16J/166Y with a lie-flat J cabin. They will start replacing 763s on certain Europe routes this summer.

Are 18 757s coming from existing International lift, or are they being transferred from Domestic service? That would account for part of the announced 14% reduction in domestic capacity next year.

I realize that the modified 757s are for International service. My question is are they going to take current International 75s out of service to modify them, or are they going to modify current domestic 757s (a number of which are o/w equipped, as I understand it) then transfer them to the International fleet?

I thought the 757 was for new international service. I am sure Mark will share with us shortly what service will be replacing 767's and what will be new service.

The 752s will open new routes and replace 763s on some JFK/ORD-Europe routes, as well as BOS-CDG, freeing up 763 for short-haul Miami flying.

When 787s start arriving, I expect that AA will begin to re-configure a sub-fleet of 20 to 25 763s into a higher-density configuration for LatAm.

Not sure which exact 757s are being converted, though. The first one is schedule to go to conversion 17NOV08, IIRC.

Anyword if the ORD-MAN will go to Double Daily 757? Especially now that BMI is going to be pulling out.

The 757s to be reconfigured are ER models, we have 20 of them. Sounds like tail #s 5DE through 5FD. Right now they are scattered through the system, both domestic and Carib/LA/Hawaii.

Anyone know if they have hydraulic motor driven generators in the left wheel well?

As of now, no.

Current rumours indicate MAN will become 2x 752 - one daily to ORD and one to JFK; replacing British Airways on the route (BA suspended service this past month).
