No! Jimmy Carter already did that and all that it accomplished was hurting the athletes that were to participate. The Olympics should not be held as a political hostage.

The only thing that could have made this worse is if Congress also forbid fed employees from the opening ceremony to protest the probable doping by Olympic athletes. Congress has been enamored by doping lately.

Considering the number of "dopes" there are in Congress that explains a lot! IMO, we need to vote them all out and start over with new folks that understand they are there to "represent" the public first and foremost.

Wow, I have to say I'm somewhat surprised.

Not that we can't keep on topic, but that people actually think we shouldn't boycott the opening ceremonies. With Germany, France, England, maybe Australia all going against, and then even Hillary & Nancy Pellosi calling for the boycott... I would have thought practically everyone here would have been on board. :blink:
