This Thanksgiving went off nicely without any drama. How will Xmas fare?

Ramp isn't happy? I didn't know there was a group of folks at US Airways that was happy!

is anyone happy?
I would not say that I am "unhappy", I would say that I am concerned. If I were unhappy, I would quit. I am, however, concerned that management is not interested in compensating me in a fair manner. I am concerned that the pace of negotiations is slow. I am concerned that Management has a lot on their plate, and I am not their first concern. I do not intend on voicing my concerns through a "sickout," but I definitely intend on continuing to voice my concerns. Life is waaaaay too short to go through it unhappy, and I'll be d*mned if, after all US has taken, they take away my happiness as well.....

IT I think you hit the nail on the head. Many and myself included feel the same way. A sickout though sometimes a last resort to "show" management only hurts the employee in the end. We ALL are unhappy with management for something. With what happened in Philly before I don't think it's in the employees best interest to repeat it there or anywhere else. I'm in no way a a management A$$ kisser but we ALL have a job to do. If we don't like what is going on currently in the company you can let your voice be heard without a slowdown. Screwing your passengers during a holiday on their way to see loved ones will NOT go over well. As bad as it is we all "choose" to stay. We as individuals always have that right to leave.

I just flew with a BH and she sais she screwed up her bidding and now was going to have to fly Dec 23-26. Then she said she was just going to call in sick for it. Dumb ####. That's right , screw a RSV. You messed up. now live with it. I'll pass her name on to a Supr.

Isn't that what reserves are for? When people call in sick? As long as you aren't burning all of your reserves and having to junior man line holders, who cares?

RSV's aren't here because a BH doesn't want to work. What a concept. Why should a RSV have to pay for some idiots screw up. Just like last year with the weekend obligation. BH's couldn't drop any 1 days on Christmas weekend. They had put them on the ETB all month, but noone would pick them up. Then they just called in sick for them. Luckily. I had printed off a list of those trips and handed it in to the office, to compare sick calls with. Always good to give a heads up, just incase we have a problem.
