Silly Question?!?!?!

Anyone have any idea how to remove duct tape residue from glass? The tape was left on too long and now a very thin film of the adhesive portion of the tape is sticking to the glass and is too thin for razor blade scraping..is there some chemical like nail polish remover or turpentine that might dissolve it easier? I won't attempt any of the aforementioned until/if I receive some advice..thanks!!!!!!!!

Try spraying it with WD-40.

GooGone works pretty good.

If that doesn't work, try some HCl.

"0000" steel wool works well on exterior glass window surfaces, both home and automotive, in removing adhesive residue and for general cleaning.
