You should edit your post to say few of those seats left. Most of the flights are getting to capacity.Bizman said:Try and buy one of those fares. It's next to impossible. There are very FEW of these seats.
Generally. that's true. However, they more than make up for it in their walk-up fares which, in contrast to what US charges, are quite reasonable and completely refundable. I believe that on some routes, WN actually averages more per seat mile in revenue than its competitors. From here (CMH) , I can do a last-minute same-day round trip to Chicago or DC for a fraction of the US fare.Bizman said:Try and buy one of those fares. It's next to impossible. guess we should pass the hat here to subsidize the fares?colorado_cowboy said:The beginning of the end.
It was fun while it lasted folks
I've paid more than LUV's max of $600 RT to go PHL-PVD in the past.Bizman said:Try and buy one of those fares. It's next to impossible. There are very FEW of these seats.
Many times that would be the case, but not here. I made several attempts and was able to find availability in most instances if I was flexible within one day. The interesting thing was that I could find Fri to Sun flights in the lowest fare levels. Not just the Tue/Wed/Sat sales anymore!Bizman said:Try and buy one of those fares. It's next to impossible. Very nice. Now how about restructuring the fares in ALL os US's markets? It's fine and dandy that we will charge $69 or whatever walkup fare on PHL PVD, but guess what happens when you try to go PHL to say, BDL???? You get ROBBED! I just checked on the website, and the walkup fare is $432.11. WHY? What is the customer paying for with that fare? One more reason why either things must change, or the place gets shut down.youngblood said:US has restructured their fares for those markets being flown by WN. They have already matched the fares and pretty much the fare rules.
