I just happened to stumble across this a few days ago. I'll bet that this little tidbit of news didn't make it into a recent issue of Passages... :)

It's a listing of all of the pairings from the 2007 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament held last month - and yes, Doug Steenland was there.

Here's Doug Steenland's group, with tee times and playing partners (and handicaps in parenthesis)...

8:00 9:40 8:50 Jim Rutledge Derek Kerr (9)
Darron Stiles Doug Steenland (15)

Rutledge and Stiles are PGA players; the name in bold is of particular interest though.

Derek Kerr is US Airways’ senior vice president, chief financial officer. He joined America West in April 1996 as senior director, planning. He was promoted to vice president financial planning and analysis in May 1998. In February 2002 Kerr was promoted to senior vice president – finance, adding responsibility for purchasing and fuel administration. Kerr was elected senior vice president, chief financial officer in September 2002. He is responsible for US Airways’ corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, accounting, purchasing and investor relations, as well as the airline’s corporate real estate (properties and facilities) functions.

Prior to joining America West, Kerr served in various financial planning and analysis positions with Northwest Airlines.

Nowadays, the adage is that most of the business done in America is not done in the boardroom, but rather on the golf course. Interesting, no?

Is he any relation to Delores Kerr-Goodwin that is on the BOD?
You mean the PHD Plagerist? She should be an embarassment to whatever IVY league school she is associated with. That is grounds for termination at any university- and flunking if you are a student.
