Local radio this morning said that Southwest has placed new self check-in machines everywhere it serves exept STL. Why would they do all but STL?

Sounds like local radio is a little behind on their news. STL kiosks were added on June 10.

RAPID CHECK-IN Kiosks Now Available Systemwide

As of June 10–when RAPID CHECK-IN Kiosks were added at STL–all 59 Stations Systemwide have been outfitted with the units. Since the launch of the kiosks last July, the initial installation of 250 screens has grown to more than 400. (Some units are configured into two-screen kiosk stations). The kiosks may be used by Ticketless Customers who are not checking bags.

Going to keep the same topic heading since it fits, but ask a new STL question: How should WN respond to AA''s cutback plans? Should they seize the opportunity and add more flights, assuming they have the equipment with which to do so?

I wouldn''t doubt that Southwest will "seize the day." Also, I heard that Frontier is looking strongly at STL because they are gate-constrained at DIA.
